(Salt Lake City, UT) – The National Weather Service says a winter weather advisory is in effect for central and southern portions of the state. The advisory says four inches to a foot of new snow is expected starting overnight today through early Friday morning. Highway travel will be difficult for drivers in the areas covered by the advisory. Affected communities include Scofield, Fish Lake, Cove Fort, Panguitch and Bryce Canyon from the Wasatch plateau down to the southern Utah mountains. Travel conditions can be reviewed at UDOT-dot-Utah-dot-Gov.Â
