(Salt Lake City, UT) – An officer from Cedar City is among nine officers recognized by the NAACP for excellence in community service. Cedar City Police Sergeant Jerry Womack and the other officers received the civil rights organization’s recognition in a Salt Lake City ceremony on Martin Luther King Jr. day. Salt Lake NAACP President Jeanetta Williams says this is the first time in 33-years for her organization to include first responders to be recognized for their inclusive dealings with all members of the community.Â
