LDS Church Announces Scheduling Changes For Missionaries

(Undated) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints says it is making flexible scheduling changes for missionaries. The changes to a missionary’s schedule will now include cultural considerations that characterize the location where the missionary is serving. A case in point would be if the missionary were serving in a country where the custom is to dine late in the evening as is commonplace in some Latin American countries. The regular schedule until now has stipulated each mission day’s activity to begin at 6:30 a.m and conclude around 9 p.m. These times are now subject to change in coordination between each missionary and the mission president.
