Fan-Run Salt Lake Screaming Eagles Lose Opener to Nebraska

The Salt Lake Screaming Eagles lost the opener of its first season as part of the Indoor Football league, 78-47 to the Nebraska Danger.

The Screaming Eagles defense struggled throughout the game allowing the Danger to put up 78 points. But the offense had moments where it showed some spark.

The first touchdown of the game for Salt Lake was called by the fans at the Maverik Center. The play was a five yard touchdown pass from Verlon Reed to Derwyn Lauderdale to make the score 14-6 in favor of the Danger.

Reed finished with 227 total yards of offense and seven touchdowns in the loss.

The Screaming Eagles will be back in action February 26 on the road against the Colorado Crush.
