ST. GEORGE, Utah-Wednesday, Utah Tech head baseball coach Chris Pfatenhauer announced the appointment of Justin Hixson to his coaching staff as the Trailblazers’ new pitching coach.
Hixson replaces Zach Wilkins who departed from Utah Tech’s program to become the pitching coach at Iowa Western CC.
Hixson comes to the Trailblazers from Cal State Bakersfield where he had served as the Roadrunners’ pitching coach.
Hixson is a 2006 graduate of Cal State San Bernardino and earned his Master’s degree in sports management at Long Beach State in 2010.
