SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Denzer Guzman homered twice and the Salt Lake Bees dismantled Tacoma 9-3 Friday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Sam Aldegheri netted two strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.
Victor Labrada and Alejo Lopez each drove in a run in the loss for the Rainiers.
Following Friday’s results, the Bees, winners of seven of their last 10, secured a series split against the Rainiers and improved to 23-25 while Tacoma fell to 23-26.
The Bees go for the series win Saturday with opening pitch slated for 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
BOISE, Idaho-Cole Jordan and Giuseppe Ferraro-Nahr each homered and the Ogden Raptors stonewalled Boise 11-8 Friday at Memorial Stadium in Pioneer League play. Ryan Radkey netted six strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Parker Depasquale drove in three runs in the loss for the Hawks. Following Friday’s results, the Raptors and Hawks each emerged with equal 2-2 records. The squads return to action Saturday at 7:05 pm at Memorial Stadium.
