5A State Championship Game @ UVU

OREM, Utah-Trigg Cloward homered and the No. 1 Spanish Fork Dons doubled up No. 2 Maple Mountain 8-4 Saturday at UCCU Ballpark on the campus of Utah Valley University to win the 5A state championship. Jeremiah Hall homered in the loss for the Golden Eagles. This was Spanish Fork’s 10th all-time state championship in baseball and second in a row. The Dons have state baseball championships in 1988, 1992, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2021, 2025 and 2026.

5A State Championship Bracket @ UVU

OREM, Utah-Nash Ferguson and Kye Ward drove in a run apiece and the No. 2 Maple Mountain Golden Eagles forced a de facto 5A state championship game with a 3-0 win over No. 1 Spanish Fork Saturday at UCCU Ballpark. Jeremiah Hall posted eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Golden Eagles.

Boys Lacrosse

5A State Championship @ Zions Bank Stadium

HERRIMAN, Utah-Wade Birch and Henry Alnwick scored two goals apiece and the No. 1 Park City Miners bested No. 2 Brighton 10-6 Saturday to win the 5A state boys lacrosse championship at Zions Bank Stadium. Dylan Despain and Gabe Carrera scored two goals apiece in the loss for the Bengals. This was Park City’s third all-time state championship in boys lacrosse. The Miners have state titles in boys lacrosse in 2022, 2023 and 2026.
