MOSCOW, Idaho-Monday afternoon, Weber State men’s basketball is back in action in Big Sky Conference play as they face the Idaho Vandals at the Cowan Spectrum.
The Wildcats improved to 7-5 and 1-0 in the Big Sky with an 84-72 win at Eastern Washington Saturday.
Weber State shot 53 percent in the win over the Eagles and received a career-high performance from freshman guard Caleb Nero, who posted 19 points.
The Wildcats come into this game averaging 81.8 points per contest while giving up 73.7 points per outing.
Weber State’s star remains junior guard Jerrick Harding with 20.9 points per game, while former Wasatch Academy star, junior guard Cody John, averages 16.3 points per game for the Wildcats.
The Vandals are 3-9 on the season and have lost five consecutive games. Idaho scores 71.3 points per game and surrenders 72.5 points per contest.
Freshman guard Cameron Tyson averages 13.7 points per game for the Vandals and junior guard Trevon Allen adds 13.1 points per contest.
The Wildcats lead the all-time series 54-24 but after rejoining the Big Sky Conference in 2015, the Vandals are 4-2 against Weber State.
Weber State is also 21-17 all-time at Moscow, Idaho, but have lost three consecutive road games to the Vandals.
