Wasatch High School Remains in Class 5-A’s Region 8

SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, the Utah High School Activities Association announced its second consideration for realignment for classifications for schools scattered throughout the state.

The Wasatch Wasps, in all sports, will remain in Class 5-A’s Region 8.

For the most part, the region remains intact, with the exceptions of Skyridge going to Class 6-A to join Region 4 and Timpanogos leaving to join Region 7.

Additionally, Payson, Salem Hills and Spanish Fork are moving up from Class 4-A to join Region 8.

Therefore, the Wasps’ region will remain generally Utah Valley based with the exception of their inclusion.

The Wasps have retained Provo, Springville and Maple Mountain as region foes for the next wave of realignment, which would last through 2021.
