Wasatch Boys’ Golf In 10th Place At 5-A Golf Championships

SYRACUSE, Utah-Wednesday as Wasatch High School’s boys’ golf team competed at the 5-A state championships at the Glen Eagle Golf Course of Syrace, the Wasps found themselves in 10th place after the first day of competition. Wasatch currently has a score of 316.

The Skyline Eagles are currently in first place, with a score of 279. In second place is Farmington (291), Corner Canyon is in third (292), Olympus is fourth (295), Viewmont is fifth (297), Skyridge is sixth (305), Springville is seventh (306), Bountiful is eighth (310) and Brighton is in 9th plce (312).

The Wasps’ best performer through Day 1 is Jacob Coopman, who is shooting at 78. Tyson Clyde and Jaxson Stoddart are each shooting at 79 for the Wasps. Gavin Scott is currently shooting at 80, Kellin Olsen shoots at 82 and Tanner Pettingill checks in at 96 for Wasatch.

The tournament concludes Thursday.
