UVU Men’s Basketball Hosts Chicago State At the UCCU Center Thursday



OREM, Utah-Thursday, Utah Valley men’s basketball (17-8, 6-4 in WAC play) seeks to remain in the upper echelon of the Western Athletic Conference as they host Chicago State (3-23, 0-11 in WAC play).

The Wolverines remain one of the best shooting teams in the country as they are 19th in the country in shooting percentage at 48.5 percent.

Utah Valley is also 52nd in the country in three-point field goal percentage at 37.5 percent.

The Wolverines score 76.9 points per game and surrender 71.3 points per contest.

Reshirt junior guard Jake Toolson (16.1 points, 4.4 rebounds per game) and senior guard Conner Toolson (12.4 points per game) remain the Wolverines’ statistical leaders.

The Cougars score 62 points per game while surrendering 85.7 points per contest.

Senior guard Anthony Harris (13.9 points, 5.8 rebounds per game), senior guard Rob Shaw (10.7 points per game) and junior forward Christian Jacob (10.5 points per game) all lead the Cougars on the season.

The Wolverines lead the all-time series against the Cougars 18-5, including a 10-1 record at Orem.
