LOGAN, Utah-Thursday Utah State football cornerback D.J. Williams was named to ESPN’s All-Bowl team following the Aggies’ 52-13 win over North Texas in the New Mexico Bowl at Albuquerque, N.M.
Williams, a 5-9 180-pound cornerback out of Smyrna, Tenn., intercepted two passes against the Mean Green, returning one 31 yards.
Williams was named as the defensive Most Valuable Player of the New Mexico Bowl and tied the USU bowl gamer record with two interceptions.
As a junior in 2018, Williams earned All-Mountain West honorable mention by leading the team with four interceptions. He also defensed 15 passes and posted one sack and three tackles for a loss.
