Utah Football Travels to Arizona State Saturday

TEMPE, Ariz.-Saturday, #16 Utah, in hot pursuit of a Pac-12 South title, returns to action against the Arizona State Sun Devils for a 2:00 pm kickoff at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz.

After decimating the UCLA Bruins 41-10 October 26, the Utes are 3-0 against the Pac-12 South division and have jumped to #16 in both The Associated Press and coaches polls. The Utes are also 6-2 overall on the season.

The Utes had a historic October as they went 4-0 in the month for the first time as members of the Pac-12. They defeated Stanford, Arizona, USC and UCLA to accomplish this feat.

The Utes have also scored 40 points in four consecutive games for the first time since the undefeated 2004 Fiesta Bowl campaign.

Utah also leads the nation in red zone defense at a .545 success ratio (12 of 22) for opponents.

Additionally, the Utes are third nationally in rushing defense (81.1 yards per game) and seventh nationally in total defense (287 yards) and net punting (41.87 yards) respectively, per game.

The Utes have also scored on 89 percent of their trips inside the red zone.

The Sun Devils, sporting a record of 4-4, are led by tailback Eno Benjamin (166  carries, 938 yards, 9 TD’s), quarterback Manny Wilkins (160-253, 1,965 yards, 12 TD’s/2 INT’s) and receiver N’Keal Harry (46 rec, 667 yards, 6 TD’s).

Defensively, linebacker Merlin Robertson has 5 sacks to lead the Arizona State cause.

Arizona State leads the all-time series 21-8.
