Utah Baseball Visits Arizona This Weekend

TUCSON, Ariz.-Friday, the Utah Utes’ baseball squad (6-6 on the season) visits the Arizona Wildcats (10-6) at Tucson, Ariz. for the Pac-12 conference opener for both squads.

Redshirt junior catcher Zack Moeller (3 home runs, 17 RBI) is the Utes’ statistical leader with senior outfielder Erick Migueles, a native Tucsonan himself as he returns home this weekend, has one home run and 12 RBI for the Utes. Migueles also has a team-leading .391 batting average for the Utes.

Senior left-handed pitcher Joshua Tedeschi is the Utes’ ace as he is 3-0 on the season.

The Wildcats are led by freshman outfielder Ryan Holgate ( a team-best three home runs and 19 RBI), junior infielder Cameron Cannon (2 home runs and 15 RBI) and junior outfielder Matt Fraizer (a team-best 22 RBI).

Freshman right-handed pitcher Quinn Flanagan is 2-0 on the season on the mound for the Wildcats, leading the team in that category.

The Utes and Wildcats’ series dates back to 1952 with Arizona leading the all-time series 69-61-12.
