USC women get Moore in 83-77 OT win over Utah

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mariya Moore scored 25 points and Minyon Moore scored 18 and USC beat Utah 83-77 in overtime on Sunday.

The Trojans (17-12, 7-11 Pac-12) scored 12 of their 15 points in overtime from the foul line and were perfect in their 12 attempts. Kayla Overbeck made a pair of fouls shots with 44 seconds to go to give a USC a 79-77 lead they’d never surrender.

Desiree Caldwell sank a pair from the line with four seconds left in regulation to tie it at 68-all. Utah’s Kiana Moore missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send it into overtime. Mariya Moore buried a 3 with 14 seconds left and another eight seconds later to set up Caldwell at the foul line.

Shalexxus Aaron added 17 points for USC which finished 27 of 31 (87 percent) from the foul line.

Megan Huff led the Utes (20-9, 9-9) with 30 points and made all 13 of her free throw attempts. Kiana Moore scored 13 and Dru Glyten added 12.
