Three Wasatch Football Standouts Continue Their Playing Careers

HEBER CITY, Utah-Wednesday, as National Signing Day in college football concluded, a pair of former Wasatch Wasps football standouts inked agreements to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level.

A third attended this event, having already made a commitment.

Wasps tight end/defensive end/receiver Ethan Wood, known for his versatility, has signed with Snow College in Ephraim.

Additionally, another versatile Wasps standout, receiver/cornerback/free safety Kaden Smith, will attend NCAA Division III Occidental College of Los Angeles.

Smith brings the Tigers a “dynamic, impact player with great hands and clutch when it counts” per his Hudl page.

Occidental College is also known as the alma mater of former New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim E. Mora.

Also attending this event at Wasatch High School was safety/receiver Brydger Purdy, who will serve a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints mission before enrolling at Dixie State and being part of the Trailblazers’ exciting move to NCAA Division I upon his return.
