LOS ANGELES-Friday, the Southern Utah men’s basketball team travels to USC to conclude their non-conference portion of the schedule against the Pac-12-affiliated Trojans.
Last Saturday, the 5-3 Thunderbirds downed Pepperdine 78-69 with reigning Big Sky Conference player of the week Cameron Oluyitan making a jumper to force overtime.
Oluyitan, a junior guard, currently leads SUU with 13.6 points per game. He is also shooting 48 percent from the field and 81 percent at the foul line.
The Thunderbirds average 83.1 points per game while giving up 72.3 points per contest.
The 5-6 Trojans score 78.8 points per game while surrendering 77.5 points per contest and are coming off of a 102-92 double overtime loss to Santa Clara Monday.
Junior forward Nick Rakocevic leads the Trojans with 14.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.
