INDIANAPOLIS-Monday, former SLCC men’s basketball standout, Jacoby Kemp, signed with the IUPUI Jaguars of the Horizon League.
Kemp, a product of Layton High School, helped the Bruins to a 30-4 record and a 10-2 mark in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Kemp appeared in 30 games for the Bruins off the bench and averaged 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds.
Kemp comes to a Jaguars team that was 11-19 in 2017-18 and 8-10 in Horizon League play.
His head coach at IUPUI will be Jason Gardner, a former standout for Lute Olson’s Arizona Wildcats in the early 2000’s.
Kemp’s brother, Marcus, a former standout receiver at Hawaii, is currently in training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs.
