OREM, Utah-After setting a school record for Utah Valley in the women’s mile run Saturday at the Dragila Invitational, Wolverines track and field star Savannah Neuberger was named as the WAC women’s indoor track and field athlete of the week.
At Pocatello, Idaho, Neuberger, a former Wasatch High star, posted a time of 4:53.08 in the mile to set the school record. She also won the 800-meter run title in a time of 2:14.19.
Her time in the mile is also the best in the WAC this season and the 42nd best time nationally in Division I.
