Runnin’ Utes Announce 2018-19 Non-Conference Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, the University of Utah men’s basketball team released its entire non-conference schedule per a statement from head coach Larry Krystkowiak.

With potentially challenging games awaiting at the Wooden Legacy Classic in Fullerton, Calif. and trips to Minnesota and Kentucky, the Utes will have sufficient challenges on their schedule.

The Utes will host the NAIA College of Idaho November 1 in an exhibition game to unofficially commence the season.

The season officially commences as they host the Maine Black Bears of the American East Conference November 8 at the Huntsman Center.

The Utes then travel to Minnesota November 12 and will return home to entertain the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils of the Southwestern Athletic Conference November 15.

After the Wooden Legacy Thanksgiving weekend, the Utes will host Tulsa to usher in December on December 1.

The Utes then play hated rival BYU December 8 at the Vivint Smart Arena in downtown Salt Lake City. On December 15, the Utes will play Kentucky at the famed Rupp Arena of Lexington, Ky.

Utah concludes its home non-conference schedule by hosting the Florida A&M Rattlers of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference December 17 (the first matchup between the schools in history) and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks of the Big Sky Conference on December 21.

On December 29, the Utes will visit Nevada at Reno, Nev. to conclude the non-conference portion of the season.
