Jazz Improve To 4-0 in Preseason, Use 4th Quarter Run To Down Portland

PORTLAND, Ore.-Donovan Mitchell posted 21 points and the Utah Jazz used a 39-20 4th Quarter run to overpower Portland 123-112 Sunday at the Moda Center in NBA preseason action.

The Jazz improved to 4-0 in the preseason and saw seven players score in double figures, showcasing their superior depth to Portland in this tilt.

In defeat, the Trail Blazers were led by Damian Lillard, who posted 23 points and seven assists while shooting 9-11 from the field and 4-5 behind the arc.

Portland shot 51.9 percent for the game with CJ McCollum adding 21 points on 8-13 sooting and Jusuf Nurkic stepping up with 20 points and 11 rebounds on 8-9 shooting for the Trail Blazers.

The Jazz concludes the preseason Thursday at Sacramento, Calif. against the Kings. The Jazz’s regular season commences October 17, also at Sacramento against the Kings.
