SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, as the NBA free agency period ensues, the Utah Jazz received a commitment from one of their longtime standouts to return to the fold.
Per a report from Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune, power forward/center Derrick Favors is returning to the Jazz on a 2-year deal.
Favors, who is entering his 10th season out of Georgia Tech, amassed 12.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Jazz last season, per basketballreference.com.
Per Jeremiah Jensen of KSL-TV, Favors, having already played eight years with the Jazz is in rarefied air in Utah as only John Stockton, Karl Malone, Darrell Griffith, Thurl Bailey, Greg Ostertag, Andrei Kirilenko and Bryon Russell have played for the Jazz for a longer period in their respective careers.
