BYU’s Zayne Anderson Is Out For the Season

PROVO, Utah-Per information revealed on Twitter from Brigham Young University play-by-play announcer Greg Wrubell, Cougars linebacker Zayne Anderson is being shut down for the season in statements by BYU head coach Kalani Sitake.

Sitake shared this in thoughts with Wrubell on BYUTV’s BYU Football With Kalani Sitake Show Tuesday evening.

Anderson, a 6-2 215-pound senior out of Stansbury Park, Utah and Stansbury High School, will undergo surgery after unsuccessfully trying to play in last Friday’s 45-20 loss to Utah State at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

This season, Anderson amassed 36 tackles and one interception.

In his career with the Cougars, he has 111 tackles (73 solo stops), three interceptions, two passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one tackle for a loss.
