ST. GEORGE, Utah-Per the official Twitter account of former Wasatch High football star, Brydger Purdy, the Wasps’ standout will receive a chance to play college football at the Division I level.
Purdy, who excelled as a receiver and strong safety for the Wasps in his high school career, has been offered a scholarship to play football at Dixie State University per his Twitter account as confirmed Saturday.
Purdy will first serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints before enrolling at the St. George-based university which will be at the Division I level upon his return.
The Trailblazers currently compete in NCAA Division II as part of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
