Black Hills State Routs Dixie State Men’s Basketball

SPEARFISH, S.D.-Makaleb McInnis netted 20 points on 4 of 8 shooting and 3 of 6 behind the arc as the Black Hills State Yellowjackets routed Dixie State 91-70 Saturday at Young Center in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s basketball action.

Black Hills State shot 50 percent for the game, with Scottish national, Malcolm Fraser posting 16 points on 6 of 9 from the field and 4 of 6 from range for the Yellowjackets in a complementary role. The win kept Black Hills State undefeated in conference play at 3-0.

In defeat, forward-center Julien Ducree posted 16 points on 7 of 9 from the field for the Trailblazers, who fell to 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in conference play.

Dixie State returns home Friday and Saturday for games against New Mexico Highlands and Colorado State-Pueblo at the Burns Arena.
