Missing Plane Found In Southern Utah

The bodies of a Sandy man and his two children were found Monday after a search found the wreckage of the plane that was reported missing Sunday morning, police said.

Garfield County officials said there were no survivors in the crash.

Authorities said the wreckage was found near the Lower Bear Valley area northwest of Panguitch by a police helicopter shortly after 11 a.m. Monday.

Relatives said Sunday that Randall “Randy” Wells was flying back from a wedding in Phoenix when his plane disappeared. His two young children, 8-year-old Asher and 3-year-old Sara, were also onboard.

Searchers from six counties were looking for the plane Sunday, according to family members.

Wells is the bishop of the Mount Jordan 3rd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
